TED NUGENT Suit Against Muskegon Fest Finally Over
March 13, 2008Muskegon Chronicle reports that the last act in Ted Nugent's lawsuit against Muskegon Summer Celebration came quietly this week, offstage.
In response to a motion filed by Summer Celebration, Nugent's attorneys finally signed documents acknowledging that the festival had paid Nugent an $80,000 judgment for breach of contract and lost merchandise sales stemming from the festival's cancellation of Nugent's scheduled 2003 appearance here.
For months after an appeals court decision ended the legal battle, no "satisfaction of judgment" came from the Nugent camp to the festival camp. Finally, Summer Celebration's attorney filed a motion asking the trial judge to enter an order declaring that the judgment had been satisfied. That motion was set for a hearing Thursday.
